I've had a website for my photography for many, many years. Growing up with the internet I've always enjoyed making websites, learning how they work, simple coding and trying out new projects. Years ago I discovered Tumblr, which I exploited for how truly simple it is to create sites on, and of course this went hand in hand with carrying out little projects, and here they are.
Another View to Street View, 2014 - 2017
Another View to Street View came out of years of exploring places around the world using Google's Street View. Some of the locations are places I have been to, some are places I would love to go, and some others are just interesting, far flung places. They are all photos I would take, and as a bonus, I was caught by the Street View car in Portsmouth, U.K.
The Word on the Street is..., 2012 - 2015
The Word on the Street is... was a project inspired by other 'overheard' projects, compiling quotes heard on the street in Gibraltar, with a view to highlighting our linguistic diversity and 'llanitadas'. As part of this project there was also a collaboration with Dale Buttigieg from Llanito Llanito/Llanito Làngwij.
People People, 2013 - 2015
People People was an interview project done in collaboration with Carolina Llamusi-Silbermann. The aim was to pick out interesting people in the community and meet them in places where they felt safe. We would photograph them and give them a list of prompts such as "favourite films", "most important things in life" from which to choose a few from. These hand-written answers were then scanned for the site and presented accompanied by a small introductory text.
